About us

One workshop. Two speeds.

We measure in millimetres and deliver in tonnes. One beam holding up a new open-plan kitchen, or a frame holding up an entire distribution hub — both are drawn in the same 3D model, cut on the same machines and checked by the same eyes before they leave our yard in Essex.

Small enough to answer the phone. Big enough to carry the load.

Est. 20162026 & still going

2016 — 2026

Ten years of steel.
And still going.

A decade of cutting, drilling, welding and bolting steel together across London, Essex, Kent and Surrey — from a single beam for a Monday knock-through to frames that change a street. Thank you to every contractor, architect and engineer who trusted us with the load.

The next ten start with your project.

CNC machine cutting steel in the workshop

Why two speeds?

Most steel firms pick a lane. Some are quick and nimble for builders who need a beam by Thursday; others are built for contractors running year-long programmes. We built APG to do both — from one workshop and one digital workflow.

So the homeowner's single beam gets the same 3D modelling and inspection as a warehouse frame. And the warehouse frame gets the same straight answers and quick turnaround as the homeowner's beam.

Load-bearing principles

Written in steel.

Four ideas that hold everything else up.

01

Measure twice. Model once. Cut once.

We added a step to the old saying. Every piece is built in 3D before it's built in steel — so by the time a saw touches it, it has already fitted perfectly, on screen.

02

No beam leaves without an address.

Every member is stamped with exactly where it lives on your drawing. Your crew reads the label, not the tea leaves.

03

On time beats early.

A beam that arrives three days early is just in someone's way. We deliver in the order your crane needs it — not all at once, not whenever.

04

Mistakes are cheaper in pixels.

A clash fixed in the model costs a click. The same clash found twelve metres up costs a crane, a crew and a day. We'd rather spend the click.

A day on the shop floor

From model to lorry, every day.

  1. 06:30

    Models released

Overnight checks are signed off and the day's cutting lists go straight from the 3D model to the machines.

  2. 08:00

    Lines running

CNC saws and drills cut and hole every section exactly as modelled — no tape measures, no chalk marks.

  3. 11:00

    Welding & assembly

Plates, cleats and connections are welded by certified welders, from a one-beam order to a full bay of rafters.

  4. 14:00

    Checked against the model

Every piece is measured and inspected before it earns its label. Welds are tested; anything out is re-made.

  5. 16:30

    Primed, labelled, loaded

Tomorrow's deliveries go on the lorries in the order the site will need them. Then we do it again.

Whatever the size of the job.

One beam or a whole frame — tell us what you're building.
